3 Places I Visited Often…

Paul Smith – completely and utterly in love with that brand AND in love with the staff at the Borough Market branch. Couldn’t have met more lovely people! My first visit there (as soon as I landed on the island, I hit the shop! Desperate for my PS fix) I met one of the sales staff and on top of selling me a bag bursting full of SALE clothing items, we also swapped personal stories – and have since become friends. He’s an outstanding illustrator (and salesman!), so we hauled out business cards and promised to stay in touch. And we have. Not only that, but since then I have met the manager and feel as though I have found a new friend. What is with the staff at Paul Smith? Are they all so lovely? We have since gone shooting together (she came along to a shoot I did on the Thames to shadow, assist and see what I do), have shared wine and cranberry juice together on the Thames and have also shopped together. I need to somehow get further involved with this company…even if just to be around such lovely, friendly people.

Also, my new friend from the Paul Smith shop, came along to help and learn…(she was excellent to have around – thanks Marica!!).

Car Boot Sales

A British phenomenon. And one that everyone should have the chance to experience. While there is always a large amount of trash to wade through, you are bound (almost every time without a doubt) to stumble upon a treasure…be it a locket from the 1930’s or a vintage Louis Vuitton bag for under 20 quid (yes girls, I GOT ONE!) or playing cards from old cruise ships.

I could, without a word of a lie, visit a car boot sale every weekend until I could no longer walk with ease on my own.
